How to book a tour from us (Two)
3. How to make bookings?
After receiving your inquiry, we will work out an ideal tour itinerary
and price with full understanding of your requirements (we might have more
questions) or we may first make an itinerary for you and ask you to take a
look at it, if it is acceptable, we will do the quotation. When it finally
meets your satisfaction, it's time for you to book your China trip with
us. Here are some easy steps to book a tour with Abacus Tour:
- State in your email and inform us that you accept the tour itinerary and
price we provide (together with inclusions and exclusions);
- We will then email you an offcial VOUCHER(please click here for the Voucher Sample), ask you fill up some forms, have the voucher printed and signed with your signature and email us or fax us (86-28-86661975) all the pages. We will then ask you to pay a deposit of USD $100(Maybe more, depending on the total amount)per person to Abacus Tour. Here is a guide
of how to make
payment to Abacustour. The balance is to be paid in full no later than
15 days prior to your arrival in China. If we receive your booking less
than 30 days prior to the tour start date, we will ask for payment to be
made in full (or at least 20% of full payment) once you confirm to book
the tour. If you are not willing to make full payment at this time, you
can pay at least 50% of the full amount upon confirmation and pay the
balance to us after you arrive in China by cash.
- For those who plan to travel to Tibet, at the time you pay the
deposit, we also need some information of every member in order to apply
for your Tibet travel permit:
- full name;
- gender;
- date of birth;
- passport number;
- nationality;
- all exactly the same as on your passport. And you need to tell us
your occupation because journalists and those who are involved in
political matters could be revoked (they need more complicated procedure
to get a permit).
* Please fax a clear
copy of each member's passport and China visa to us at (86)28-86661975;
then write in email to your travel advisor the above 6 items
(the fax copy may not be clear enough to recognize so email
writing is necessary).
- Once we receive your deposit, we will make all the reservations
according to your itinerary within one week. We will send you a
confirmation letter when all the bookings are secured. At this time all
you need is to pack up for your lifetime trip to China!
4. Alteration, Cancellation and Refunding
- Alteration
- We provide free service to modify your itinerary two times after you
confirm to book your tour. We do provide unlimited alteration to meet
your ultimate satisfaction, but from the third time we charge a $20
surcharge for every new modification. Too late alteration might not be
workable.
- Cancellation
- You may cancel your confirmed booking, but this must be in writing.
But cancellation occurs after your confirmation to book the tour, or if
you fail to pay the full cost of the tour within the specified time, you
will be liable to pay cancellation charges. Cancellation charges are as
follows:
- If you cancel your tour more than 30 days before the start of your
tour with us you forfeit $100 from the deposit you paid. We will refund
the rest of the deposit back to you in 30 days. (Other travel agencies
require the full deposit.)
- If you cancel your tour within 30 days but more than 7 days before
the start of your tour you forfeit 30% of the cost of your tour.
- If you cancel your tour within 7 days of the start of your tour you
forfeit 50% of the cost of your tour.
- If you fail to show up at your scheduled arrival time without prior
notice, you forfeit 100% of the cost of your tour.
- If you cancel the tour programs due to your own reasons when touring
in Tibet, there is no refund of any expense you have already paid. If
you want to book some extra programs, you need to pay for the extra
cost.
** The effective date of notification regarding
cancellation will begin when the notification is received at our
premises in writing (email or fax).
- Refunding
- If you have paid your deposit but then cancel the tour more than 30
days before the start of your tour, we will refund all the deposit
except $100 cancellation fee.
