Home > Feedback From The Customers Dear Jerry Wang, Nothing special, just let you know that how thrilled we were with our recent trip to China. My wife, who really didn't particularly want to go, says it was one of the best trips we've ever taken. James Liu, our national guide, was so well organized that everything seemed to be like clockwork. He seemed to know from experience when the best times would be to avoid crowds. Considering that we were there during the national holiday, when many Chinese were traveling, that was no small feat. We also got to see things that many of the other firms' groups didn't. One of the unexpected highlights was a visit to a park overlooking Chongqing where an artist had created a 100 meter long panorama of the three gorges which gave us an overview of the things we saw in the following days on our cruise. We didn't know at the time, but it turned out that we were on the last run through the diversion channel at the Three Gorges Dam - it was closed forever a few days later. Seeing the project from that perspective was quite incredible! We were also very impressed with our Victoria cruise. Our Australian cruise director, Tim, was a class act. The commentary provided by Cathy (who we later learned is Tim's Chinese wife) was excellent and the staff could hardly be more attentive. I really wanted to take our busboy, Andy, home! The downstream portion, although less scenic from the ship itself, was equally interesting, particularly since many of the destinations were somewhat less visited by foreigners. We even made the local news in Nanjing during our visit to the tomb of Sun Yat Sen. Thanks for making the arrangements so easy for us. I know that there is a lot of work behind the scenes to make it look that way. With My Best Regards! John. S. White |
