Trip Overview:	This tour is especially designed for those who are mainly interested in seeing the capital of China and the roof of the world - Tibet. So, the stay is Tibet is usually longer than the common ones. The hotel we use for this tour is 4-star, so, you will not feel uncomfortable while in China.

Itinerary:

Day01 : Arrival in Beijing.
Upon arrival in Beijing, transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Beijing
Sightseeing: Badaling Great Wall / Ming Tombs / Sacred Way.
Depart from your hotel after breakfast. Spending about 1.5 hours to be transferred outside the city to the surrounding countryside to visit the Badaling Great Wall, one of the most remarkable feats of mankind, built over 2,000 years ago. You will be able to climb and walk one of the best preserved sections of the ancient wall, admiring the splendid mountain scenery.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the fabled Ming Tombs, the resting places of thirteen emperors and their splendid treasures. Passing down the Sacred Way, a road lined with statues of dignitaries, as well as huge elephants, lions, camels and horses, you will encounter the marble tombs of the Ming Dynasty emperors. Visit one of the spectacular tombs-Dingling-featuring an
underground palace.

Day 03: Beijing – Lhasa - Tsedang
Morning transfer to Beijing Airport for the flight 4112 (0710-1210) to Lhasa. Upon your arrival in Lhasa, transfer you to Tsedang town with about one and a half hours’ driving (110km). On the way, you can enjoy the great landscape of YarlungValley. After arrive in Tsedamg, rest and acclimatize. Overnight in Tsedang.

Day 04 : Tsedang – Samye - Lhasa
To the north bank of the Yarlung Tsangpo River, among the open farmland, stands Tibet’s very first monastery – Samye which has a history over 1200 years. To reach Samye, you’ll take ferry to cross the Yarlung Tasangpo river, a fantastic ride. East of Samye is the Hepo Ri hill, a 30-minute climb up the side ridge takes you to an incense burner, festooned with prayer flags and offering great views of Samye below. Come Back from Samye, you’ll make way to Yumblagang, a medieval-European-castle-like structure, reputed as Tibet’s oldest building. It doesn’t take that long to explore Yumbulagang. Perhaps the best part of the visit is the walk up along the ridge above the building. There’re fabulous views of the Yarlung valley. Drive to Lhasa.

Day 05:Lhasa
Sightseeing: Potala Palace, Barkhor Market, Jokhang Monastery.
An extraordinary day of sightseeing shows the spectacular architecture at the world-famous PotalaPalace. Former living quarters of the Dalai Lama, its massive 1000-room structure towers over this mountain city. Then visit famous Barkhor Market, where you can shop for rare Tibetan items. See one of Tibet's holiest shrines, revered 7th century JokhangTemple, with its statue of the Sakyamuni Buddha, lavishly enthroned in gold.

Day 06 : Lhasa – Yangbajin - Lhasa
Sightseeing: Yangbajin Hotspring
Drive out of Lhasa to Yangbajin, a small basin 90 kilometers from Lhasa, was the earliest heat base to be developed. In 1975, scientists and engineers arrived to test its potential power. And then many workers arrived and built China’s first geothermal power station. It has many hot springs and mysterious hot water lake with a heat explosion unseen elsewhere. You would take a bath in the hot spring. In the afternoon return to Lhasa.

Day 07 :  Lhasa – YamdrokLake – Gyantse
Sighteeing:YamdrokLake, Kumbum, Pelkor Chode Monastery.
Drive to Gyantse via YamdrokLake, one of Tibet's holiest lakes & important centre for pilgrimage. Gyantse (3950 m), in the Nyang Chu valley 254km south-west of Lhasa, is one of the least Chinese influenced towns in Tibet and is worth a visit for this reason alone.
The main attractions in Gyantse are the Gyantse Kumbum, a magnificent tiered structure that has only one ruined and remote contemporary in the Buddhist world, Pelkor Chode Monastery and the Gyantse Dzong.

Day 08 : Gyantse-Shigatse.
Sightseeing: Shalu Monastery, Tashlunpo Monastery and Shigatse local market.
Drive to Shigatse & en-route visit Shalu Monastery. Shigatse (3900m) is the second largest town in Tibet and the traditional capital of Tsang. Visit Tashilunpo Monastery, spectacular chapels and tombs of the Panchen Lamas & the Shigatse Free Market.

Day 09 : Shigatse – Lhasa.
Drive back from Shigatse to Lhasa.

Day 10 : Lhasa
Sightseeing: Norbulinka Summer Palace, Sera Monastery, Tibetan Hospital and Tibetan Family Visit.
Morning tour to the Norbulinka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama and a tour of the Sera Monastery. The Sera monastery, home to 400 monks, fels more intimate than the Potala, and you are invited to see the day-to-day living and working spaces. In a kitchen blackened by dung fire, large pots and copper ladles hang on the wall; a monk offers visitors cups of yak butter tea, a staple of the Tibetan diet.
Next visit to TibetanHospital and Local Tibetan Family.

Day 11 : Lhasa– Beijing
Transfer to Lhasa Airport for the flight CA4111(1300-1745) to Beijing. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel.

Day 12 : Beijing

Sightseeing:Forbidden City / Temple of Heaven / Summer Palace.
Depart from your hotel in the morning to the Forbidden City, the inner sanctum and palace where for centuries Chinese emperors ruled their world. It has a 9000-room maze of courtyards, palaces, and ceremonial halls, where 24 emperors used to live. The Forbidden City was indeed a forbidden place, where commoners were kept out for nearly 500 years. Tour the palace and imagine the mystery, intrigue and incredible power that reigned here.
After having lunch at a local restaurant, visit the SummerPalace. Built in 1888, it was once a summer retreat and thrre imperial for emperors. Have a lakeside cruise on lovely KunmingLake, enjoy the magical views of the hills, bridges and pagodas that grace the Palace grounds.
Evening entertainment is Peking Opera.

Day 13 : Beijing
Morning visit to Lama Monastery. In the afternoon, do the Beijing Hotong Tour. A hutong is an ancient city alley or lane typical in Beijing, where hutongs run into the several thousand. Surrounding the Forbidden City, many were built during the Yuan (1206-1341), Ming(1368-1628) and Qing(1644-1908) dynasties. In the prime of these dynasties the emperors, in order to establish supreme power for themselves, planned the city and arranged the residential areas according to the etiquette systems of the Zhou Dynasty. The center of the city of Beijing was the royal palace -- the Forbidden City.
On the tour, clients ride in a modern-day rickshaw ... powered by a human on a bicycle. During the tour of the hutong clients would ride trough the back streets and alleyways viewing what life is like for the residents, visit an American sponsored kindergarten, a bell tower, and, finally, have tea with a local family.

Day 14: Exit Beijing
After breakfast in the hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight onward home.
